If Mediaphobics make a loud enough stink, a great national debate rages, but somehow -- another symptom of the Mediaphobia delusion -- the artists and audiences of the media under attack are not invited to participate in the debate. Instead, the public is treated to a heated exchange between paternally-minded politicians and the shame-faced bureaucrats of entertainment conglomerates -- two groups not exactly known for their encouragement of controversial forms of expression.
